JobKeeper Extension Changes

This morning the treasurer Josh Frydenberg has made changes to JobKeeper to make the wage subsidy scheme available to hundred of thousands more workers impacted by Covid-19.

Tougher eligibility rules announced a couple of weeks ago will be reversed.

Changes are (effective 3rd August 2020):
- Instead of businesses having to show a major fall in turnover in both the June & September 2020 quarters, businesses will just have to show turnover has significantly fallen for the September quarter, compared to the same period last year.
- Staff who were employed as of 1st Jluy will also now be able to access the JobKeeper program
